Practically every industry has a use for the fabrication of plastic. The food & manufacturing industries uses it to make packaging through vac forming, the aerospace industry are highly regulated where a no metal to metal contact rule applies & the engineering industry uses it for the protection of critical components & faces.

Plastic fabrication can also be used as a cost-effective way for making prototypes or one-offs of a design to test how it can be integrated into the system and get feedback from your operators. This will allow you to check the ergonomics & efficiency, handling ability and the protection of your product. Any feedback can then be integrated into the design process before a full production run.

Plastic fabrication uses materials such as acrylics, nylon, ABS, polypropylene, polyethylene and high impact polystyrene (HIPS) in thicknesses of 0.5mm to 100mm and in any size required.

RTP Materials Handling has a vast knowledge regarding the strengths and weaknesses of all the containers and boxes on the market as well as the materials that can be used with them. We are able to modify, manufacture and repair plastic containers & tanks of any size using the most appropriate material and method.


3D Printing

We offer a variety 3D printing service in a variety of plastics that have all been standardised and our printer has been calibrated to ensure highly repeatable part production every single time.

Injection Moulding

We can injection mould in plastic and foam. The foam density can be varied at manufacture from high to low.

Vacuum Forming

Vacuum forming is where the piece of plastic is heated until soft and then sucked onto the mould, left to cool and removed from the mould.

Plastic Welding

Plastic welding is ideal for a completely non-metallic finish. Plastic welding is so versatile and is almost limitless in what you can do with it.

Extended Pallets

Being specialists in fabrication, we can also offer extra strength with reinforced bases, location pins, large rims & lashing points.
